About Us
The Outpost has recently been bought (2007) and upgraded by Eric Hume with the help of his partners Ken & Anne Eckert. The outpost serves as a meeting place for outback travellers, families, local miners, gem club enthusiasts, bird watchers and many international visitors. We cater for campers, caravaners and those that like abit of luxury (haha). Onsite donga type accommodation is available with airconditioned rooms, shared amenities including hot showers, clean toilets and washing facilities.
Learn about the history of Opalton and surrounding areas, where to go noodling/fossicking, local historic sites and magic landscape marvels. Great for photographers, birdwatchers & travellers.
